i've decided to start over on this blog. not that i had any problem with the way it was before, it's just that i would like the blog to be a certain way. when i want something to be a certain way, i will strive and strive to make it that way. i am a perfectionist, and not only in the aesthetic way, but in the means of production and the operational.
so, what do i have in store for heavy-eyed, you might ask? well, i'm just going to let it be what i want it to be. at this moment, what i most wish it to be is something of a mix between an classic, traditional, journalesque blog and a music blog.
the addition of music to the site will, i think, help it expand as a blog and help me expand creatively as a person. why do i say this? because i vow to make at least one music-related post -- whether it be an album review, an artist review, or a compilation/mix -- at least once every two weeks. this will help my blog in that it just might get more heavily recognised (because at the moment, it is practically invisible). it will help me grow creatively by challenging that area of my brain when i make mixes or a review. i'll be working a higher percentage of my brain and, in the long run, expanding my horizons in the field of which i lack a bit.
so, i'll make my first post sometime this week, probably tomorrow. i'm working on a pretty nifty compilation at the moment, so if god wills me be done by tomorrow, and if i think it's adequate enough, i may post it. so keep your fingers crossed.
look at me, talking to people as if they're here. but hopefully the idealist in me will be satisfied soon, once i finally get a few visitors with this scheme of mine.
